Zoe Keating was first brought to my attention by one of the usual channels of obscure greatness, Radiolab. The War of the Worlds episode features Zoe’s musical abilities but it was with the episode titled Quantum Cello that she was given a chance to fully shine. Keating is a solo cellist, who with the power of technology, takes the centuries-old instrument and twists the sounds into something like only a full string section could make.
