Apologies for lack of updates. Life is a maelstrom and Im just hanging on. Lets get to it, aye?

GOAL UPDATE:
1. save 10,000 dollars - I was 1/10th of the way there then Spring Vacation in Dallas happened.
2. Parent Project - several books purchased (with money from #1), and a list of ponderous questions is forming….
3. story, play, or screenplay - Does stealing lines off of textfromlastnight.com count as progress? If so, then yes, progress made!
*5. donate/sell/toss all excess - I threw out bags of old junk and have started gathering old clothes and other novelties to sell - garage style.
6. travel to all the “A” continents - I dont even have something clever to pass as no progress here. Flub.

*Goal 5 was meant to be a way to streamline my living and rid myself of excess. I think I’ve come along way and greatly reduced my amount of “stuff” - or maybe I just moved out of Ma & Pa’s. Either way, I want less. This isnt me trying to go all minimalist to the extreme, but more of a way to make sure I dont become dependent or defined by my possessions. Ideally, I would be able to pack everything I needed into my car and jet off. Or, even better, into my pack and bike away. Since that probably wont happen Goal 5 is to serve as a precautionary measure against excess and over consumption. I also think it should be revised and attempted at least once a year for the remainder of the 7. That way I keep myself in check and ensure I dont end up with a stack of old magazines, orĀ  porcelain cat figurines, or a spoon collection hanging from my wall.

With that in mind I hope to have a fancy schmancy yard sale during the next month or two. I’ll be shamelessly plugging beforehand and inviting you, the faithful readership, to join me on that day. Dont let the bad economy dissuade you - there are still people who want stuff. And if taking mine will satisfy them I say we give it to them. Afterall, my economy needs some stimulation….

Next time: Parent Project update and sob stories from April 26th! See you soon.
