For those of you who check regularly I sincerely apologize for having a picture of Rush Limbaugh be the first image you’ve seen for that long. It won’t happen again.
I hope to tell you more about school and city adventures soon. For now, though, I’m going on one of those tangents that only mildly relates to the 7x7. Come along, it could be grand!
When I imagine traveling to all the continents that begin with the letter “A” (that’s Africa, Antarctica, Asia, and Australia) it comes through like many thoughts - as scenes from some film, like a montage. This one has soaring planes, desserts, mountains, bustling cities, glacier fields, trains, sailboats, and lots of trekking. Its all set to a glorious piece of music that starts low and rhythmic but builds like a monstrous storm of excitement and adventure. What I cannot be sure about was whether these thoughts and images existed before I heard this music or germinated and grew after I discovered it. Either way its bold and powerful and I want you to hear it. Ah, but there’s a catch. See, if you’ve read all the way through this and are about to press “play” then I’ve primed you with my own imagination. So I need you to clear your head, wipe the slate clean, and just listen. Let it work its terrible magic on you and help you sprout some fantastical scenes and ideas of your own. It’s called Chevaliers De Sangreal by Hans Zimmer, from the final scene of The Davinci Code - and please don’t hold the source material against me.
Enjoy.
